Our Lady of Pranto

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Pranto, ordered built by Queen D. Isabel of Aragon, wife of D. Dinis during the 13th century, is located in the village of Dornes.

The church's architecture is the result of the combination of the Gothic style with Mannerism and Baroque, which stand in a magnificent building full of works of art.

The 16th century tile panels and the stone images, with special attention to the Our Lady of Pranto with the iconographic form of Pietá, are some of the main attractions that captivate visitors.

You can also hear the 13th century pipe organ that was recently restored.
